Alex Puddu (b. 1967, Rome) moved to Copenhagen in the late 1980s, shortly after the start of his musical career. He is a true devotee of the vintage 1970s Italian giallo/politziottesco and horror films, taking his inspiration from such luminaries as Morricone, Umiliani and Piccioni. He has written music for a number of soundtrack albums, including this volumes predecessor release, The Golden Age of Danish Pornography. The Danish films related to this and its earlier companion CD release are from 1964-1971, a period of time overlapping the 1969 legalization of pornography in Denmark. The original footage, of great quality, had no sound and couldnt be released for public viewing until soundtracks were written. To quote Jan Schmidt, a crucial figure in this story and friend of Mr. Puddu, I knew that Alex would instantly understand the direction I wanted the soundtrack to go in for the first collection of short films. The end results of his work are nothing less than mind-blowing. It simply suited the films perfectly. Now we have The Golden Age Of Danish Pornography Vol. 2, another great collection of films, put together again to Alexs music.
